1. What cookies are
Cookies and similar browser technologies help websites remember information, maintain sessions and deliver embedded services. Some are essential to operating an online shop; others require a separate choice.
2. Essential website technologies
Smart Torque uses a session-based basket and related functions. Essential session cookies may support your basket, checkout, login security and site operation. These can generally operate without optional cookie consent where strictly necessary.
3. PayPal and embedded services
Our checkout uses PayPal, and the homepage may display a PayPal promotional message. PayPal may use cookies or similar technologies in connection with those services. The cookies and technologies used by PayPal may vary according to the features displayed and your interaction with PayPal. For details, see PayPal’s privacy and cookie information.
4. Optional analytics or marketing
Smart Torque offers optional Google Analytics 4 to understand website traffic, referral sources and general page usage. Analytics is disabled until you choose Accept analytics. We do not use this integration for Google Ads or Meta advertising.
5. Your choices
You can manage or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent basket or checkout functions from working. You can accept or reject analytics using our cookie banner, and change your choice later using the Cookie settings link below. Essential services remain available if you reject analytics.
6. Cookie inventory
Our website uses PHP session-based functionality for features such as baskets and secure administration. PayPal integrations may use additional cookies or similar technologies. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga (typically up to 2 years) and _ga_* (typically up to 2 years), subject to Google configuration and browser restrictions. These help distinguish visits and report aggregate site usage. We will review actual deployed cookies as part of launch testing.
